Do I need a partner?
No. Partners rotate through every class, so you can come on your own and dance with everyone in the room.
Is there a free salsa class in Brisbane?
Yes. LocoMojo runs a free 45-minute class once a month on a Tuesday at 6pm at the Polish Club, Milton. Book a spot online.
What is the difference between On1 and On2?
Same eight counts. On1 breaks forward on 1. On2, New York style, breaks on 2 with the conga, which gives it a smoother, more musical feel.
How long until I can dance at a social?
After the five-week intro course most people can hold a basic, a right turn and a cross body lead. That is enough for your first Bar Salsa.
What does it cost?
The taster class is free. Courses work out at under $20 a class. Current prices are on locomojo.dance.
What should I wear?
Something you can move in and shoes that turn on a wooden floor. No heels needed for your first class.
