From Loco Mojo to Bar Salsa: Brisbane's Monthly On2 Social Gets a Fresh Look

If you've been dancing On2 in Brisbane, you know the name LocoMojo. Their monthly Saturday social has been a staple of the local mambo scene, a place where On2 dancers could actually find each other, dance to proper mambo music, and not feel like the odd ones out at a predominantly On1 event.
Now that social has a new name: Bar Salsa.

What stayed the same
The important stuff. Bar Salsa is a dedicated monthly On2 social in Brisbane. The music, the vibe, the community. It's the same crew that's been building Brisbane's mambo scene from the beginning.
The format stays familiar: a pre-workshop to warm up or learn something new, followed by open social dancing. Expect classic and modern mambo, the kind of tracks that make On2 timing feel natural.
Why the change?
As the social grew, it made sense to give it its own identity. Something that stands on its own rather than being tied to the school brand. Bar Salsa is a social first. You don't need to be a LocoMojo student to come. You just need to like dancing On2 (or want to try it).
The LocoMojo connection
LocoMojo Dance Academy isn't going anywhere. They're still Brisbane's go-to for On2 classes, from beginner courses to technique workshops. Bar Salsa is simply the social arm getting its own name. Think of it as the same family, different label on the door.
